Preserving water in Ab-Anbār (a traditional cistern of drinking water in Iran) for dry seasons might be an exotic concept for Europeans but it has an essential role in spatial structure of historical cities in hot and dry areas. If this situation is not reformed, in 30 years we will have some ghost towns.
